Pack for a longer day on the bike
Make space for the essentials without losing access to the things you reach for most.

Start with a packing list
Lay out the items you intend to carry before choosing a bag: tools, a spare layer, phone, keys and water. Give frequently used items an accessible spot. Check the bag’s dimensions and attachment system against your bike, including space around cables and moving parts.
Check bottle and bag clearance together
A bag that fits the frame can still make a bottle difficult to remove. Check both the bottle’s dimensions and the room above the cage. CamelBak describes cage compatibility by bottle model, so check the exact bottle rather than assuming one fit applies to every design. Test the arrangement before committing to a longer route.
Plan the next refill and the cleanup
Consider where you can refill along your intended route and what you will carry between those stops. After the ride, follow the care instructions for your bottle or reservoir. CamelBak recommends cleaning and thoroughly drying reservoirs for storage. Put the clean setup back together before the next ride, so missing caps or hoses do not become a last-minute problem.
