The right tire starts with your route

Start with compatibility

Before comparing tread, check the tire diameter, rim compatibility and frame clearance. A familiar size label alone is not enough. Continental advises checking the specific tire and rim combination and following the permitted combinations on the tire packaging. Use the wheel and frame manufacturer’s guidance alongside those requirements.

Think about the ride you actually do

Write down your usual surfaces: paved roads, hard-packed gravel or loose trails. Then compare the intended use of each tire with that list. Look at the exact listed width and casing rather than assuming every version of a model is the same. A mixed route may call for a different choice than a dedicated road ride.

Check the details before adding to cart

Confirm whether the listing is for one tire or a pair, and whether your setup requires a tube or is compatible with the specified tubeless system. Review your valve type and length if buying tubes. Keep the manufacturer’s installation and pressure guidance with your tools; do not infer a safe pressure from the product name.
